Practice Equipment

  • Water bottle- required at every practice and meet
  • Swim cap
  • Goggles: Tinted or shaded goggles are a great thing to have during the summer as your swimmer will be staring at the sky for most of the practice.
  • Training swimsuit
    • Boys typically wear jammers, but briefs work well too.  Board shorts or trunks should not be worn.
    • Girls need a one piece, tight fitting suit, without decorative frays, straps, beads, etc.
    • A suit that is made from a polyester blend will last a long time and is worth the extra cost. Popular brands of training suits include Speedo, TYR, Arena, Nike, and Sporti.
    • Your team suit can be worn for practice, but we don't recommend it since suits do wear out with daily use.
  • 1-2 towels
  • Sunscreen
  • Close-toed, close-heeled, athletic shoes for dryland warm-up. No crocs or sandals.
  • Swimmers may also be more comfortable with athletic clothes over their swimsuits during dryland
  • Warm clothes (top and bottom) on chilly mornings
  • Optional: Kickboard if you have one.

2026 Team Suit

This year's team suit will be available through our team store, and is also available at MI Sports (3400 N. Garfield Ave, Loveland, CO). If you tell them that you're with Village Green Swim Team, they will take care of you.

Dolfin Summit

**Please Note: The team suit is optional. Swimmers who chose not to purchase the team suit should wear last season's suit or a plain black suit for competition.
